Professional Development Opportunities
NMTSA believes it is important to continually grow as a professional and integrate current research and best practice techniques, as well as to spread the knowledge of Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) through professional trainings and ongoing professional development.
Overview
NMTSA provides the opportunity for other therapy professionals to come to our clinic for a period of consultation, collaboration, and self-study. Participants will learn about NMTSA’s philosophy of movement disorders, autism, and assuming competence, as well as the application of NMT techniques to persons with autism, neurologic impairments, or developmental disabilities. NMT Academy professional development credits and/or CMTE credit is available for music therapists who participate in this program.
